Missing index folder?

I am confused, as I did a website but there is no index.htm file. How can it be functioning when I do view the website in xara but only listed as file list loaded onto server. Is there a way to fix this without starting everything from scratch?

hosting on blue host with filezilla and did upload to the correct folder

When you publish your file you are asked to give a name to the site. You should save/publish the site as index.htm or index.html.

You can make this happen automatically by giving your home page the Page Filename: index.html

Then when you publish your site your home page will automatically be called index.html
