Default Website not fitted to page correctly on iphone and ipad

    Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my website since I updated to xara web designer MX premium. When I view the website on an ipad or iphone on safari the website doesnt scale to the size of the browser automatically. You have to adjust it so you can see the full page width.

When i have previously publishedthe site from web designer 7 it use to fit perfectly on to the page.

Does anyone have any idea what I could of done wrong and how I can get it to fit the browser perfectly.

It still uses the same size pages as it did before when it use to be perfect.

    Thanks in advance.

    Don

You may have to add code to the Website --> HTML code (head) section. The most common I use is:

    <meta name = "viewport" content = "width = device-width">

Make sure you can login to your FTP from a browser (ftp://xxxxxxx.com), or also from free FTP software like Filezilla or Core FTP. Then we can troubleshoot some more...

Did you ever resolve this? I am having the same problem. Very frustrating.

    Just re-enter your correct password.

This happens to me from time to time and if I re-enter the password everything is OK.

Also, make sure you can see a password when you publish. If you have not checked to Save Password in Document, the password will be missing, even though all the other information is there.

Not sure if that works for the iPhone, it does not work for my Windows phone.

Are there any news on the scaling problem? I actually have the same problem on my iphone: the page does NOT scale automatically...

    Any solution?

    Hi,
the only solution I have found for iPhones is to create the site at 320px size, with the varying iPhone systems it is hard to get them all to recognize
    one solution.
Here is a link that may help.
