    Question Gradient Background?

    Hi,

I have Xara Web Designer 7 Premium.

I'm working on a website project which has a gray background. I want there to be a gradient where the top is a dark gray then it goes down to the normal (current) gray background.

I tried following videos and doing this step:
    - Import gradient image to bitmap gallery
    - Right click bitmap gallery image and select apply as page background or something similar

But nothing is happening, the background is still solid gray.

Any idea's what is going on here?

    Many thanks.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

First, right click on the screen and select Default Background Colors.

Open the Bitmap Gallery, hold down the Ctrl key, and drag and drop the background tile onto the page.

Hi many thanks for the welcome .

Also, thanks it works. However, it seems to repeat itself half way down the page. How can I only make it repeat on the X-axis, not the Y-axis as well?

    Thanks.

There is a tweak in the tweakset for just that (Tile Background Horizontally)

Or make your tile very, very deep so it does not repeat itseelf.
