    there's a box to tick in the export dialog as I recall 'transparency ' I think

    I've got that bit but its the parts in the middle of the badges that I can't subtract.

    basically you need to make a shape that has the gaps in it

    ok which vector editor are you using to make the shape that you are currently using

    never used it

    but I believe it is a 'lite' version of xara x

    on that basis you would need to make the shape for the badge, by tracing all round it, which presumably is what you did

    but then you need to make additional shapes for each area you want to remove - when you have done all these group all the additional ones and subtract them from the main shape

    I'll go away and sse if I can find something more webster specific

    ok the only version of webster I have is ver 1 [ex-ark had to install in win98 mode] and that won't do what I suggested

    if your arrange menu looks like the attached then your version won't either and you will need xara photo and graphic designer

    [if your version arrange menu has entries like 'combine shapes', 'subtract shapes', intersect shapes', 'slice shapes' it might]
