Static or Dynamic

After 3 days of rying to get to grips with Xara Web Designer and pulling my hair out, can anybody advise if this application is
just for very basic static websites and not really intended for use if dynamic pages are required ?

I have tried to php trick to save as a php file and managed to get the placeholder fix working to add the code to the top of the
exported file but it doesn't seem to render out the HTML properly as it just dispays as text when I cheeck the php file so not
sure where the problem is...

Xara Web Designer is a WYSIWYG web designer, not a HTML editor. The only way to truely get what you see is for the elements of a page to be set within a preset page width.

Dynamic pages move and rearrange elements so the design is often nothing like what was intended.
