Embedded video on layer won't play

An embedded video on Layer1 will not play. Message from the host says it is not available -please check back. However, when I cut and paste the placeholder onto the mouse-off page it plays fine. I've embedded many videos before and never had a problem. Something in the embed code I would guess. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It's hard to suggest something without seeing the code and generally design in question. Perhaps if you could attach it, we'd be able to help.
