Seeing all the Dragons around I had to post a pic as well

I have been working on this creature on and off for ages now,but its almost finished.

I used C4D modelling and BP and PS for texturing. It still needs a color map yet though.

Your Dragon is looking good stu. Is the skin detail a bump map? Or did you model all that?

    Cheers Mike

The skin is a hand painted bump map, well all the maps are hand painted actually. They consist of bump, spec color, diffusion and translucency so far, with color to go.

That sort of detail I would try and do in Z Brush if I was a bit more savvy with it Mike ....I tried the bump in spd {sub pixel displacment} but it was going to take forever to render. The maps are all 3400 x 2800 or something.Thing is they are all upwards of 40m a map even in greyscale, but to get a 1 pix brush to behave like you want it to for detail, you need a big map.

    Hi Stu,

Glad to see your dragon is still being working on. Looking forward to see the full textured, coloured version eventually

I like your work Stu. I think the only thing, besides the eye(s), is that I don't see much of a jaw line!

I can't wait to see it finished and all textured with color!!

    NICE!!

Wow great looking Dragon there , I wish I could model something like that. Now all it needs is a nice looking eye.
