site won't republish

I have web design 6 (waiting for upgrade code for 7) but I have published my website successfully and then had to update some pages but now the site won't republish and update new information. Am I missing a step? I've cleared all Temp files and stuff. The program won't even attempt. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

What happens if you go to Website Properties > Publish and un-check Re-publish changed files only? Then republish. This may take some time.
