patterns can you change the color

I am sure I could on my much older software, take a pattern I like and pick a color and change it..

Seems in PSP I either get the color I want or the pattern I want for the backdrop.

I found a nice blue stripe in the normal patterns but want to change it to black/gray.. In my old software if I mixed the pattern with the color black, the darkest color would be the black, but then the other patterns would shift to grades of gray to white to get the pattern to the color..

Other black stripes I have found have too much texture or zigzag and the backdrop doesn't complement but rules..

You could use the Color Changer tool in PSP, which I always find a bit of a fiddle to use, or MV's Plugins>Color Replacer, I think that is a much better tool, it's easier and more accurate.

Place it in your Plugins folder and point PSP to it in File>Preferences>File Locations.
