    Default Re: Pen pressure

    ok

first select 'pens' and 'croquil pen 5' from the brush catagory drop down menus top right

then go to edit menu: preferences > brush tracking
on the scratch pad draw several fast lines each time staring the line at light pressure and finishing with heavier pressure - the idea being to calibrate the program to your hand and tablet sensitivity
click ok and draw some lines on the canvas

if there is still no obvious pen pressure then go to window menu: brush controls > show size and make sure that 'expression' is set to 'pressure' - set 'min size' to 0% [see attachment below]
try again with a brush size of around 20
if there is still no sign of pen pressure then painter is not recognising your tablet

check to see if there are drivers you should be installing/reinstalling for the tablet and settings there

    NOTE:

you have the size 'expression' option seperately available for every drawing brush variant in the program - some are not set by default - so you should always check this before using that variant for the first time; there are other options too - lots and lots and lots, painter is complex
