Hi everybody,

it's been a really long time since I was here last time ...
I am still using Xara Xtreme Pro 4, since it does everything I need quite well and there never was the need for an update.

Recently, SVG became an issue for me, I am using it more and more in Webdesign.

XX4 has SVG-Export, though no import, but that is no problem.

I just created a document with about 15 layers.
On each layer is a rather simple linedrawing with measurements

I disabled and hid every layer but one and exported this single drawing as .svg.

I noticed, that the filesize was way too big, >300kb which just could not be.

I experimented and found that I had to copy a single drawing, paste it into it's own document with no other layers and then save it.
Bang, down to 12kb!

So is there a way that Xara (4.0 mind you!) can export a *single* layer only instead of all the layers that are hidden too?
It would be so much more convenient to have all drawings in a single file.

Does this work in newer versions?

thanks for any help,

Cheers
Wolfgang

Edit: I also tried a document with multiple pages with a single drawing on each. Same problem, *all* the hidden content of *all* pages are exported.
