    Default Slate clock

This is my first attempt at a Xara drawing. I think I chose something a bit ambitious
for a first time and would appreciate any comments.

    Well, Mike.
To say that I am impressed, is a bit of an understatement.

For a first attempt, the drawing is magnificent.
If you've done lots of drawings before, it's still magnificent.

Everyone will have their own opinions and suggestions, but, a Big Well Done from me.

I agree wholeheartedly with Ric. That is mighty fine.
We have seen some really good works posted here lately and this ranks right up there with the best. One thing I don't understand though is what appears to be stitching on the top.

What a way to start off with your first post on TG. Welcome Mike.

Bang up job. Don't just stop at the clock, though. The clock would look even better with a section of fireplace mantle to sit on and a wall behind it. Make it a complete scene and you'll have a sure winner.

I look forward to seeing your next creation,
    Harry

    Re; "Stitching"
I left a slight gap between the separate sections to show the edges and corners. Being the first attempt I was a little unsure of how else to accentuate them.
Thanks for your reply I was hoping for comments so I can improve on things like that.

Great clock Mike, it looks really good. I must say that the decoration on the clock really does add that bit extra. As Harry said, make it up into a full scene then it can be printed and framed (they make good birthday gifts for friends and family
