I lost a feature can you help?

I have version 7: I use to be able to see guides that would tell me if one photo was lined up next to another. Some how it's gone now. I must have pressed something by mistake. I spent a long time trying to find what I did but cannot find it.

Could you help please?

The keyboard shortcut is 1 on the numeric keypad (the one on the right side of the keyboard). Try that.

If your Guides button(s) are greyed out, hit Ctrl + L to display Rulers and drag a guide from a ruler onto the pasteboard. Your guides buttons will now be available to you.
