liquid ink slow tracking

I am using corel painter 11 with a Mac pro and am having problems with liquid ink brushes tracking extremely slow. Any ideas where to start searching. All other brush mods operate fine.

if its just the one brush variant I'd look at the settings, and the first place I'd look is the 'feature' setting on the top bar - if it's high try reducing it...
