FR: Scroll Bar Edges to Control Zoom

Hi-

This feature request is a direct result of using an audio DAW called, Reaper that has this awesome method for controlling the zoom. Just place your mouse over the edge of a scroll bar, click and hold and you can then dynamically zoom either in or out based on how you drag the scroll bar. Make the scroll bar smaller and you zoom out/ make the scroll bar larger and you zoom in.

Thanks for replying - the above method requires no keyboard modifiers to change the zoom;

For instance, to change zooming directions what must a Xara user do? Use the keyboard modifier - but the above method skips that step, if the user wants. The above method is just a bit faster workflow.

ok I think I get the idea - but in xara you don't need keyboard modifiers to zoom in and out - in options you can set zooming as mouse wheel alone - and then drag scroll bars to move left/right, up/down, or press middle mouse button to pan

Nice, that did improve my zooming needs by choosing zoom mouse wheel in the option
Anyway, here is something to consider when zooming

Xara = scroll bar plus mousewheel
Reaper = scroll bar

so it does save a step and is feels very intuitive.

ok james - just thought I'd let you know the fastest way AFAIK of currently doing it in xara. I don't know the other program, so I can't personally compare..
