Paul,
that's fantastic. Have you been a painter in former times??
I like especially the stirred up waves that seem to have some transparency...
Print this as a poster!

Paul, a tutorial is a MUST now for both your styles of water, you have accomplished it very well, much thought and effort put into these I can see! And I must agree, this one has a very painter-like quality to it. Great job

Can I add my admiration of your sea's. You seem to have got sea and sky down to a fine art using a vector program.

Nicely done!
Another beautiful image with a beautiful sky and water. Will you show us some tips on making the water? I really like the crashing waves.

I concur with all of the above comments, but I'm curious - is that structure a wharf? I've never seen one quite like that. It seems to have a height measurement for vehicles loading, so I was wondering if it was a ferry wharf? You are from Finland so I imagine it quite possibly is.
...it will just take a while for me to analyze what I have been doing
About the "wharf", I am not really familiar with that word - is it about the same thing as a pier? Well, the structure seen in my image is an old pier made out of granite (ca 100 yr old, built to last).
The yellowish-brownish building, which should be more out of focus and not so "brightly" coloured, is the so called "suckarnas bro". No, it is not translated to "bridge of suckers" but "Bridge of Sighs". It was the last touch with Finnish "ground" for the emigrants who left for a better life in America. The bridge was used to enter the ships who sailed to Hull in the UK.
About a water tutorial (or more): Yes, I try to finish them, but I used quite a lot of techniques in this image, so there would be at least three different tutorials. And then there would be another tutorial based on the water i my archipelago image.
About me and painting: I have (and still do) paint with watercolours and colourpencils. I am quite lazy I must confess, and painting takes a lot of time because I paint in layers. I use a similar technique on the computer, and it is a lot faster and errors are easilty corrected (or removed) in Xara (but we did now all that already, didn't we ). The image above was made in a couple of hours and would have taken me a day or two as "traditional" painting.
