    Default Alignment question

Is there any way to control which is the dominant object when aligning? Or, to establish to which object the others align? Like in CorelDraw. It seems quite arbitrary: some times all the objects move but on occasion only one moves. I can' see any system to apply.

    Using DP6

Generally, Xara operates on "align to the most extreme object in that direction" or to the page. To align to a specific object, make sure the desired object is at the bottom of the stack of selected objects, then choose "Bounds of back object" and the direction in which you want to align.

Thanks for the tip. I never knew what that option was for. Seems a bit awkward but if it works..........got for it.

No, it's not a perfect solution, but it goes a long way toward being able to align to a selected object.
