I purchased ZBrush version 1.5 in 2002 for $292.50. All upgrades to date have been free. Now ZB4R2 is worth $700.00 ,
I have been using ZBrush for years, it gets better with every release. I wish all my investments were that good.

James, I don't discourage the use of free software, I think its a great way to learn 3D graphics.

Yes, I agree...a very nice investment.

It is great when the company figures once you buy a ticket, you can always ride for free. Cool concept! I certainly wish more followed it.

    Re: Blender

Yeah, it gets better all the time. With Cycles coming full-blown soon, the quality of images you see will also quickly improve because it is much more realistic. I love the modeling aspect of Blender. Many use Blender to make models that import into other 3D apps. They're making it where you can use camera tracking that is (possible to be) tied to video that was previously shot, so that you can add 3D right into scenes and maintain it correctly, even though the perspective of the overlaid part is changing/moving.

We live in exciting times... if you're a artsy, nerdy type.

    Peace

I'll take a look at Wings, now that you have me curious.

Thanks for the tip. I adapt to anything that has a good use.

    Take care
