Hello
I recently used the Pen Tool in Adobe to define my profile within a larger image.
After doing this, I wished to remove the material around my profile and replace it with a white background, I carried out the following steps:
1) selected the part of the image I wished to preserve (in this
case my profile) by right-clicking on the corresponding path
(which I had already saved) within the Panels section and
choosing ‘Make selection’
2) using the menu Select, selected the inverse of the part of the
image I wished to preserve.
When I reached step 2), I was looking for a quick way to ensure that the above inverse was filled with a single colour, in this case, white. I believe that what I therefore did was to cut the inverse, which appeared to work, but left me with the unwanted outline in the form of a dark border round the outside of my profile.
Is there a quick fix which I can apply to my existing image to remove the unwanted outline? Also, for future reference, if I were to use steps 1) and 2) again, is there a way to fill the inverse with colour without having the outline effect? If so, can you please kindly send me details of the necessary missing step(s).
Thanks so much
Margaret
