Sound, but no video picture

Using Magix Movie software generated file, import MP4 video and all seems normal on import - as per HELP details. However, on testing the webpage, the controls show and the music plays but no picture.

Note that the file (movie) plays perfectly in Windows Explorer when double clicked in the normal way.

W7 64 bit. Premium with latest update.

Further investigation reveals that .flv files work as advertised but of course MP4 is better quality and is preferred. Have tried several conversion programmes to produce MP4 but still no picture - not even a still image at start.

Someone must have a clue ........

Why do these Mp4 files work correctly in Windows Explorer but not in IE or Chrome or Firefox?
