Cannot Enter Serial Number

I am trying to install Xara Xtreme Pro 5 on a computer with Windows 7 Professional upgrade after having it on a computer with XP Professional. When the time comes to enter the serial number, I can only enter the first five numbers then I am prevented from entering any more numbers and an error screen appears that reads "A valid serial number was not entered."

So far, Xara support does not have an answer. Has anyone else out there run into this problem?

Not me (fingers crossed). Although I am in the process of setting up a new computer 64bit windows 7 system, wish me luck. Have you tried typing the number in word pad or some such and then copied and paste it in the program?

have you tried using the backspace key to ensure that there are no characters already there? Also make sure to run as administrator.
