Default My first completed car in Xara

Wow, this is a milestone for me. This is my first completed car that I've drawn in Xara aside from my balled up Volkswagen. I have always wanted to draw car in Xara since I purchased the program over 10 years ago. But was never able to figure out how it was done. Well, with a lot of projects under my belt and a lot of help from various artist on this forum, I was able to complete one. Here it is, my 1957 Chevy. I cannot say it's finished, but it is done. I even used named colors in this project. I hope you like it,

    Paul

I would rather see one larger image, Paul. But it looks really excellent. Congratulations.

Thank you everyone. All that I can say is WOW! This one feels really good. I truly appreciate everyone's support, I do not think that I would have done it without you. Everyone here has always encouraged me to do better and my artwork has really benefited because of that. Thank you all.

No problem Gary, I can post a larger single file.

Great work Paul. Love the colors you have picked for the body.
The shadowing (volumetry) is very well done. It surely doesn´t look like a first attempt.

Thank you Meb for your comments. I don't want to be misleading, this is not my first attempt at drawing a car. I have been trying to draw car for the last two years. I have a folder full of cars that I have attempted to draw. Nothing worthy of posting on this forum. I had the hardest time trying to figure out how to create curves for the fenders using shades and colors. A few artists were kind enough to post there working files so that I could see how they put the parts together. This car is the product of this forum and fellow artists that were kind enough to share their knowledge and experience with me.

Thank you Rik for your thumbs up, I appreciate your support.

I have been playing around a little while with named colors. I have been able to make them work in the past, but I have found the right technique for this project. I have a much broader range of colors in both dark and light with this project. The attached image really demonstrates how well it works with the light colors.

Thank you again everyone for your comments and your support.

    Paul
