Default More Nodes - Glare Node

Continuing with the idea from my other post about Nodes...

Here is an easy and useful usage of glare nodes in Blender.

In the two images below, you can see that one of them is a normal rendering, while the other one has a glare applied to it. (This glare is NOT set-up in the 3D View editor in Blender, it is an AFTER EFFECT that is applied using the Composite Nodes function.) Because of this, there is no additional rendering necessary. It could be applied/activated before or after rendering! [It can help to see what this effect is doing by opening the first image and then using the Next and Prev buttons to jump back and forth between the first two images...seeing without glare and with glare, alternating.]

Below is an exaggerated version to make sure that you can see basically what this (Glare) node is doing...

This effect is very easy to use, has many options (including different types of glare), and adds a lot in images where Glare is needed/desired.

Below is a screen-capture from within Blender's Composite Node editor showing that there is really nothing to setting this up.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
