Default File>New is full of old files

Not sure what happened, but I can no longer got to File>New and select web page. All I see is a bunch of files I have worked on recently. Why are these populating here? And how can I clean them out so I can find my website start up files?

    Thanks in advance

I now realized I have accidentally created a bunch of template files. There are so many that they have replaced the web document start up files. Anyone her know how to remove these template files so I get website documents back?
Or, is there another way to access these files?

    Hi Tom,

The File > New templates are in the C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara_Designer_Pro_7\Templates\ENG folder. Change the application name to that of your installed version.

You can cut the extra files you saved and paste them to another folder of your choice using Windows Explorer.

try this [for XP - visa win7 may vary a bit]

open the 'save as template' dialog
right click on one of the file names and click 'properties'
location will give the path of the folder you need to go to - hover mouse over to get full path details if necessary

Sorry guys, I explained that badly. This is my problem: When I want to create a new website I normally go to File> New. Now...when I hoover over New all I see is

    US Letter
Then all my recent template files.

    I'm missing
    640pix web page
    760pix web page
    and so on

I like to get these back so I don't have to create MouseOff and MouseOver layers manually every time I start a new website project.

if you do what Bill or I suggested you should get to the folder where all these are kept - or you saying that 640pix web page [etc] templates are not in that folder ?

Yes, they are in that folder. Not sure how to change the path so they come back under File>New.

It may be that Xara will only show X number of templates, newer replacing older in the list.

Remove some of them by moving them out of the folder to see if Xara will then see the ones you need.

exactly - that is what Bill suggested - not sure of the maximum number in web designer, think its around 12 in Designer Pro

[EDIT: having said that I see you have XDPro7 and 17 templates ? - but a limit there is, and this will be the problem I am sure]
