talent is at least two-fold - the talent to come up with the concept/idea/visualise it, and the talent to execute it as a piece of art

a splendid example of both at work there Gare, the anthropomorphism is just great and the resonance spot on

I am rarely actually envious of what is posted here, but in this case I make an exception

    Default Fool Disclosure

Truth is I'd not discovered this area until I flipped the whimsical pencil drawing on Kate Moir in private email this morning, and she told me to go post it.

So if this can be a place where we can discuss artwork and make the presumption we have whatever tools we need to bring an idea to life, more's the better, eh?

I did this guy for Gary Priester, to help promote his fantastic stereogram work:

This is part of an unpublished series that Priester and I have worked on for fast food places. Imaging his stereoscopic work as posters up in the royal dining halls of Burger King, or wherever.

Fred Eyestare and "Puttin' on my Top Hat". I love it Gary.

Ronald McDonald and Burger King having a Dos Equis, that would definately be News worthy.

Hey, Dos Equis would be the most nutritious item on their menus, Soquili.

Seriously (?), that was just a beverage pic I did, showing an array so no one potential client would get bent.

Here's a dedicated visualization, no intentional humor:

I seem to be on a food roll here (so it's a Kaiser roll gallery, huh?)

This was for HBO, and they declined at the last minute.

    Their loss Gary.

Your Chili's image tops their adverts. The textures and lighting are great. My mother made ceramics for decades and your render looks extremely real.

Your work is very inspirational Gare, I have recently started to learn 3D modeling using Blender. I have been using Xara to create textures and seamless tiles for use as materials, and I have played around a bit with bringing my 3D objects into Xara as a png with alpha.

I love the pencil and brush image. It made me smile

I'm glad that this area of the forums has been maintained where it doesn't matter what program(s) were used to create the art.

I created a very simple example to demonstrate what different lenses look like and where a vanishing point might be in a scene.

So once again, this ain't Art...it's education. :)

What is art? asked the Velveteen Rabbit.

It is a pretty well done example. On point in an artistic way
