Help with objects moving on page

Hi, I use WD7P. I am still somewhat a noob and have an issue that is frustrating me. I finished designing a basic 5 page website, when I went back to look at all my pages before publishing, I found that parts of my background had moved and would not stay in place...I could put them back but when I leave the page to view another and then come back, they move again. I have tried locking each item, but it does not keep them in place! I just don't know what to do. Thanks in advance

Use the Page & Layer Gallery or right-click on the page and choose 'Unlock all on page'

Thank you for that advice, at least I know how to unlock everything now.

But I am still having a problem with everything moving. I designed my pages, and all was going fine at first, but somewhere along the line, when I started going from one page to the next to work on them, I found that several things were not where I put them. How do I get them to stay still? ( I have tried locking each item but it hasn't helped.) It is very frustrating to have a nice looking page, leave it for a minute to work on another page, come back to it and see that everything has moved.

It is happening on every page. Not sure where I am going wrong here.

Also, sorry to throw a second question in here, but I also seem to be having trouble figuring out how to change the color of my text. It is not a problem when I have a light colored background because I want the black text anyway, but when I have a dark background and need light text, it doesn't seem that I can change the color. How do I change that?

update...I have discovered why my things keep moving around, however, I do not know how to fix it. I started over on the site I was working on...and I had no problems until I tried to drag one of my pages to make it longer. That's when all pages started changing and everything was moving all over everywhere. I have gone and made sure the the box that says "All pages in the website the same size" is NOT CHECKED. But it is still resizing every page when I drag just one page, causing all of my items to move on every page.
