Wicker basket

Finally I had some time to play Using the technique that James described in the other thread and a repeating basket weave texture that I did in Xara I created this wicker basket. The alpha transparency worked beautifully. Now I need to create something to fill it with!

That looks great.

See? Complex outcome, but not requiring a lot of complicated set-up time. Looks like you have the alpha-texturing idea down.

It's worth pausing for a moment and contemplating how long that might have taken if it all needed to be modeled.

Curious what you'll put in the basket...

Thank you Bill, James, and Guy. I have some ideas of what I'm going to fill it with, I just need to deal with a day of work first

I'm also working on a small tutorial that I'll be posting in the main Xara Design forum, (hopefully some time this evening, my time) that should be of interest to anyone who does 3d as well as being useful just as a XDP drawing tutorial
