I have just purchased Xara P&GD7. I cannot locate MAgic Erase feature in the tool bar or menu... What am I missing? This is one of the most exciting features I have seen in a long time.

There isn't a "Magic Erase" tool

It's integrated into the clone tool. Select the clone tool, outline the area you want erased, then click on the Magic Erase button that appears after you selection is defined.
Ah right :-) Or just draw the shape and ctrl+2

No, Neodeist, that's not Magic erase! Magic erase is used to remove a blemish\person from a photo (see example, with apologies for how naff it is). Ed. S is correct about the procedure to do this.
Of course it is! Thanks. Senior moment

Can I just add - to save too much embarrassment - that I don't do a lot of work with photos etc so I jumped to the conclusion it was a vector eraser being talked about

Well you did cause a lot of confusion in the process John.
This feature is available in Designer Pro 7 and Photo and Graphic Designer 7.
1. Select the photo. Click on the Photo Tool and select the Clone Tool from the fly out menu.
2. Draw a shape around the portion of the image you wish to erase.
3. Press Magic Erase.

If Magic Erase isn't perfect the first time around, press it again (and again).
I think it's a brilliant addition :-)
