Looks as though they are made of some sort of ceramic material.
Is it my eyes or is it because of some sort of difference in language across the pond?!

    Beautiful though, they definitely are.

    Hi Frances,

Very nice indeed. My wife actually purchases many of these beads for a small business she does, and yes Rik, they do come from across the pond, a little place called China. These are very authentic looking, classy....nice job, I've only seen thousands of the real things so I have something to compare them to.

Nice work Frances. In a larger size they would also make excellent napkin rings.

Thanks everyone. Yes the effect I was trying to achieve was that of milky glass like beads. I drew my inspiration from some beads that I had on hand.

    very nice indeed Frances

[to me they look rather like enamel - which technically is a 'glass' finish]

Yes Frances, they turned out very well and I like to finish on the beads. Very well done.
