Installation Components do not download

Why is this happening? I get to the point of installation where the screen says "Please wait for installation components to download." But it never starts. The spinny circle to the left of "Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 7" just keeps spinning, and the progress stays at 0%. I want to try this software to make 3D text for use in Photoshop...

Comp specs: Xara P&GD7 Trial, Windows XP, Service Pack 3, Mozilla Firefox.

:/ tried deleting the contents of that folder, but still stuck on 0%... maybe I will leave my computer running tomorrow while i go to work.
