    Default Slike show

Shape asked that I post this here for all to see -

I have been trying to find the best way to set up a slide show in D-7 and he sent me the attached file.

Coding is something I am just now learning about and I can find no way to get this to work or to put my photos into it and then put on my site.

The instructions in the *.xar tell to 'Link to file 'translucentslideshow.js' for one of the head placeholders.
If you don't do this then the slidehow will not function of course.
If you downloaded the file from the XU thread, make sure you also download the translucentslideshow.js file as well.

The tutorial is quite clear I think. There is some editing of one of the placedholders which lists your images (those which you name on page two of the tutorial file).
There's no 'coding' for your to do at all.

Are none of the EyeCatcher wigets of any use to you Jeb?

Shape, the fade in slide show eyecatcher would work perfectly for me but it says there is no way to alter the size of the photos - they must stay very narrow.

I downloaded the file into my page for the other one you had given me and I attached here but I can't even find where to start. It talks about "3 placeholders" and goes into code that is needed but it is going to have to have some very simple directions before I would be able to use it. Sounds like a great program as you can use photos of various sizes. - jb

Perhaps you can suggest to the author of the demo at XU to create a video tutorial of the same?
