Simple way to renew/refresh your favicon in Firefox

I've found a real simple way to change/refresh a favicon in Firefox (haven't tried in other browsers) from the default icon. As most of you know, once the default favicon is associated with a website, it's difficult to get it to change. Assuming the favicon.ico is in the root folder, type the domain name followed by /favicon.ico, like this: http://www.dicksfurniture.com/favicon.ico. It immediately refreshes/replaces the default icon with whatever is current. Try it and let me know if it works for you!
