    Default Bing Webmaster Authorisation...?

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to get my site up on bing and in their webcenter they say I need to add either and XML file or a Meta tag to prove athority over my website. Makes perfect sense to me.... my two questions are:

    1 - which should I do, the XML file or the meta tag?
    2 - how do I go about doing whichever option above you advise?

    I tried the place holder/html thing on the xml file but all i get is a load of gobbldee gook showing on my webpage when I publish it... so i'm guessing it's probably the meta tag you'll advise but, I'll be guided by you.

    thank you!

    <html>
    <head>
    <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="4B8C0D62FB72C517CA283F195885E98E" />
    <title>Your SEO optimized title</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    page contents
    </body>
    </html>

    the abve is an example of what Bing is saying I should put as my metatag in the default page of my website

    Your profile say's Web Designer Professional 7, I'll assume you mean Web Designer 7 Premuim

    Just place this one line: <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="4B8C0D62FB72C517CA283F195885E98E" />
    Into: Web Properties>Page>HTML code (head)
