Google Plus One (+1) How Can i Add This To My Sites?
Hello again my Xara chums.
I am trialing this new Google +1 thingymajig and there are two pieces of code that need applying to the HTML.
The first piece of code:
Place this tag in your head or just before your close body tag
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js">
{lang: 'en-GB'}
</script>
And the second piece of code:
Place this tag where you want the +1 button to render
<g:plusone size="medium"></g:plusone>
I have placed both these pieces of code where they need to be, but the +1 image does not show up at all.
If i read the source code from the published page the code added to the <body> tag was this:
<div style="position: absolute; left: 500px; top: 52px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"></div>
Obviously an image of 1px X 1px is incorrect, so i adjusted the width and height to 90px X 24px and moved the first piece of code into the <body> section using Dreamweaver and low and behold it works.
I am not hugely fluent in these things, hence owning Xara in the first place, but being able to do this within DP7 or WD7 would of course be of huge benefit.
Any help or suggestions would be as always gratefully received.
