area of a polygon

I can't find it by search or in the help file, but is there any way to get Designer Pro 6 to show the area of a polygon?

if the polygon was made with the quickshape tool then if you select it with the selection tool the perimeter and the area are shown on the infobar on the right [P and A respectively]

edit - well that works in ver 7 - can't remember ver 6, but worth checking

it seems to work with pen drawn shapes too - not something I've ever needed much but good to know it's there

Thanks, I found it just after posting the message! Works with V6 which I am using, the particular application I am using it for is floor areas on plans, I use the pen tool to make a transparent shape over the relevant part of a scanned or other image.
