    Default Exporting gif animation frames

I would like to be able to take a gif animation and export all frames.
I have software that does this but it would be nice if xara offered it built in.

Import the animated .gif into a normal document then use the export each layer to a file of it's own.

    Bill

Doesn't seem to work for me.
This gif animation has 20 something frames.
I only get 2 png files on export.

Has to be a 'drawing' document and not a 'web' document or 'animation document. And 'import' not drag'n'drop into doc.

PNG's actually :-) Just trying to help. Animated gifs are 256 colour max. You can export them as non-transparent, depends what the final use is

How was the animation created? Was it made in a Xara app?

Corel seems to optimise the animated gif by dropping pixels from some frames, this is what caused the individual frames John exported to look so bad. Many applications for making animated gif files will use a similar technique to reduce the file size.

Xara can only export pixels that are present in a frame and cannot not include latent pixels from other frames.
