    Welcome to TalkGraphics Rob

Have you checked your FTP settings? And is there a sub directory in which you are supposed to upload your files? For example, public_html or htdocs, or something like that?

Who is your web hosting company?

Don't worry. We'll get you published.

    Hi Sir,

Thanks for responding so fast!! The sub directory is public_html and the web hosting company is Simplewebhosting.co.uk I have tried all saorts of things but the site just won't upload. I contacted them, but they said its the software that is the problem. I don't understand why these problems with Xara webdsigner occurs. I'd appreciate any help you can give.
    Thank you so much.

Have you tried both way, that is :-

    * FTP Host address / FTP User Name and FTP Password / Apply

    * FTP Host address / FTP User Name and FTP Password / Sub-folder (optional) /public_html then Apply

If the message that folder already exists on the server shows, then your publish details may be wrong because Xara could be trying to create a folder when it doesn't need to.
I may be that Simplewebhosting does not need you to specify the /public_html folder because your UN/PW login will land you in the right area anyway.

    Alternatively, use an FTP Client.

Try FileZilla. (http://filezilla-project.org/) It's a free program that helps you load files with a Drag & drop technique. VERY easy.

In agreement with sunweaver, filezilla is so easy to use, imo the best ftp software.
