when i try to use the bitmap editor included in designer 7, XPE, it crashes every time!
why?
using vista on my laptop.
very bad program!

I cannot replicate this, albert997.

Does this happen on all bitmaps when using XPE to edit them? Do you have an example XAR file with a particular bitmap in it that you can upload this happens on?

it happens every time i try to load the program. i have used Xara in the past and loved it! totally mystified as to why this is happening.
i open designer pro 7, then try and load bitmap editor, after selecting XPE repeatedly.
instant crash. run time error!

Can I just clarify please? You select the image and click the camera icon and the program crashes?

This always worth a try. Close Designer Pro. Right click on the program icon and select Run as Administrator. This often solves a multitude of issues.

Maybe the the problem is because of your Operative System.
I have no problems with Xara Photo & Graphic Designer7 in Windows 7.

It could be because of Windows vista or if you say that the message is something like "runtime error", it could be any corrupt graphic library or file.
Have you tried to reinstall (repair) Xara Designer?

Thanks all. i resolved this issue bu turning off the DEP in windows vista. seems to have fixed this problem, NOw i just need to re-aqwaint myself with Xara, been gone for a while, evberything has changed.
