Question How to: Ripping to HP Laserjet 1020 Plus printer

    Hi
I have coreldraw x5 sp2 and HP laserjet 1020 Plus printer.
This printer dont have postscript fucntion to print halftones. So i print halftone designs, after some photoshop work. Then import to coredraw.
Any ripping software to print directly to hp laserjet 1020 plus printer..?
Must be compatible with my printer.
    or
    Any easy methods..?
Many of ripping softwares works large format printers ( inkjet ) and epson brands only.

    Thankyou...

    texdesigner.raj,

looking at the specs of your laserjet, you only have 600 x 600 dpi to play with, even if you could rip to the printer, your problem will be "banding" depending on what type of halftones you are sending to the printer. I think you are trying to imageset to a device that is not really up to the task, with all due respect. What you could try, is to print to a PDF driver - PDF creator is a free one I use sometimes. Convert your images to a bitmap in corel or use your PSD images as you say, then go to the bitmaps menu > colour transform>halftone, choose a suitable setting and print to the PDF driver that will give you some postscript options to use - then use the PDF for the final print out. I am not so sure how well it would work, but maybe worth a try.
