Stop & Post June 2011

Some time ago there was a monthly thread named Stop&Post. It all started in February 2004 and was running up to middle of 2010.

In the beginning of each month a new thread were created and pinned at the top of the Xara Art Gallery forum where members could post whatever they have been working on. Those Stop&Post threads usually had lots of participation and served several purposes as Bill (soquili) clearly explained in another post:

1. Provide a place for Works In Progress and completed works if anyone was not sure where else to post.
2. Encourage people to post works regardless of their experience level with Xara Xtreme/Designer.
3. Inspire people and provide a 'melting pot' of derivative or similar concept works and/or original concepts.
4. Provide a fun and free form thread without the possibility of 'hijacking' anyone else's Xara Gallery thread.

It quickly becomes a "tradition" in Talkgraphics but suddenly they have disappeared!
I´m trying to bring them back again starting from this month. There´s only one simple rule: it must have been done with Xara software.


Now that everyone knows what´s this all about let´s get them running...
Taken straight from the first Stop&Post thread from February 2004:

OK Xarians ... time to STOP what you are doing and POST whatever it is you are working on right now. It doesn't need to be finished ... the idea is to show the variety of different projects that XaraX is used for every day. It may be a birthday card ... or a billboard ad. Whatever it is ... POST IT!

I have the month of June to come up with 20-40 new stereogram images for the Japanese publisher who has published my partner's and my work for the last 12 years. At the last minute our editor decided to do a theme issue based on cute animals. I had already created about 60 images for the next issue since the first of the year and not one is a cute anything. So, I am cranking out the cute animals. The attached is one.

Playing around with XDP7. One of my holly bushes has many berries, although they won't be red until autumn.

It's strange what you sometimes discover!

As I said previously, I still had to draw the Yen.

Whilst looking on the net, to try and make sure that I drew it as well as possible, I discovered that now the Indian Rupee has a symbol.

So, we have the Pound symbol, the Dollar symbol, the Yen symbol and now the Rupee has a symbol as well.

Gary, I feel like the only person in the world that can not see your stereograms. For years I have tried every trick I have heard to look at your posted images as they look so tempting. One of these days...
