It's strange what you sometimes discover!

As I said previously, I still had to draw the Yen.

Whilst looking on the net, to try and make sure that I drew it as well as possible, I discovered that now the Indian Rupee has a symbol.

So, we have the Pound symbol, the Dollar symbol, the Yen symbol and now the Rupee has a symbol as well.

Gary, I feel like the only person in the world that can not see your stereograms. For years I have tried every trick I have heard to look at your posted images as they look so tempting. One of these days...

You're not alone. I can't see them either. If I recall correctly, a portion of the population just can't see stereograms, no matter how hard they try and what method they use.
Or at least that's what I read somewhere.

I think seeing the stereograms requires a certain relaxing of the eye muscles. Since actively looking for something tightens those same muscles, it sometimes takes a bit of willpower to make the switch.

Look at the following image... if you relax your eyes and just "passively" look at the image, it can switch from holes cut into the surface to circles that protrude up from the surface. This same general feeling of the eyes occurs when the stereograms pop out.

The trick to seeing stereograms is not to look at the surface. Our normal reflex when looking at an image is to focus directly on the image. To see a stereogram you have to focus slightly behind the image. This is why it helps to get very close to the image and blur your eyes. Then pull away very slowly without focusing your eyes. If you do this a few times, say 5-2,000 times, eventually you will probably start to see some depth.

James - I see dots going in. Because the shadow is at the top, the highlights are on the bottom, and the circles are darker, the visual cue is these are recessed. So logically I have a hard time seeing them as raised.

Nope, me too. I tried every suggestion - nothing.

    Gary,

Look at the dots again... think to yourself, the light is in the bottom right corner, the light is in the bottom right corner... POP... now the circles all protrude.

If you look at the following image, it appears as though there is a button raised from the surface (since lights normally are from above)...but looking at the second image, shows that it is, in fact, cut into the surface...

    That's nice, Penny
