Need help with this banner and not sure how to do it with XD

I think i am suffering from information overload and hoping someone can please give me a hand.

A friend put up a site here : www . reykor . sitewith . us
Now he wants me to help him re-do it so that he can use his own domain.

We would like to use the banner effect again, how would i do this in XD Pro 6.

Could i use a flash program to get the transition effect or do i have to use jquery, which i find a little more difficult to understand.
