COnverting XDP6 to XDP7 caution

I just used XDP7 on my web site and it did a conversion on opening. That was fine except I had been careless when creating in 6. I had an item that I had named with "repeating". I had then copied this item and changed the test that it contained. As I had never gone back and done an "update" on it everything was fine. Now with the automatic repeating suddenly all the text I changed is back to the original.
I thought that I would warn others to pay attention to repeating objects when upgrading.
