Designer freezes when opening a file

APOLOGIES as I've posted this in the Graphics Chat forum already but got no response.
Probably because it was the wrong place!

I've had this problem with XDP6 and now I have it with XDP7 as well.

If I am opining a file (double-click on it to open) and I don't have all the fonts that may have been used in the file, then I get a message telling me so, but, I cannot click on the 'Continue' button to do so.

Designer is simply frozen, no matter how long I wait.
I can click on all sorts of things but nothing happens.

I have to CTRL+ALT+DELETE to shut down Designer.

If I have Designer open already, then sometimes I can click on 'Continue' but not always.

I hope there a solution for this.

Hi Rik,

It's a difficult one because I think you're the only person who's reported such a problem.

When you get the alert box and clicking Continue doesn't work, does pressing the Return key work?

If you click outside the box on some other part of XDP do you hear a ping? (You should.)

Is there anything unusual about your mouse? Have you installed any special mouse drivers?

It actually lock my entire desktop and system-input down just when opening DP7, and this is during the splash screen not UAC etc..
