WD7 Creating duplicate layers

Help!
My WD7 keeps creating layers on my pages. It seems whenever I do anything with the program, it creates a new layer on all of my pages - A couple of days ago I deleted all the duplicate (empty) layers on my pages. Some of them had as many as 10 duplicated layers.
Now, it continues to duplicate my mouse off layer - last time I checked it had duplicated it 3 more times.
I have downloaded all the updates and still have the problem.
Also, I am getting out of memory errors. Is anyone else having this problem? I have a quad-core system with 4gb of ram. I have not had memory issues with any other program (including memory-hog CS3).

Welcome to TalkGraphics

This is a known bug that was supposed to be fixed (I think). In Help > About Xara Web Designer, the latest upgrade was April 19th. If you are not up to date, select Help > Update Program and follow the instructions. I hope this fixes the problem. It is really crazy making.

You probably have the option Same layers on all pages in document checked.
To disable it go to Utilities->Options, select Page Size tab and in the document section (at the bottom) uncheck Same layers on all pages in document

Web Designer 7 Premium does not have the option for Same Layers on all pages, it is in Designer Pro 7.

Yes of course. So many programs with similar names confuses me, very easy to do the older I become.

I saw that the update was supposed to have fixed this. I uploaded and installed the update but the problem remains - Maybe a carry over from the previous version?

Update - Only my original page (Index) is not making new layers - and the one repeating layer I made, it has renamed with a (2) behind each layer on all subsequent layers. It is a pop-up layer and no longer works on the initial layer since the link has been updated to (2) - I already changed all the names one time and fixed the links but the program put it all back

.... I think my Xara is possessed
