Default Video placeholder and layered image

    Hi all.

WD7- I like the way in which you can simply drag a video file onto a page and the player is automatically created. It's simple to then place an image underneath that displays through it on the generated webpage.

At least it works with IE! Any idea why the image vanishes when the page is observed in Firefox? All that displays is the video player- sadly empty looking until the play button is pressed.

    Suggestions and solutions welcomed!

Hello Mark and welcome to TalkGraphics

I suspect that this has more to with how various browsers implement video files. One recommendation is to post the video on YouTube or Vimeo or similar site and then embed the link in a placeholder. The other advantage to this is the video will stream and you will not have to wait for the video to download before it plays.
