bug when exporting a selection as a .xar

When part of a design is exported as a .xar (i.e. 'selection' is chossen instead of 'drawing') then the correct object(s) are exported but the embedded preview image incorrectly shows all of the object from the original design. This means that both import preview or the Design Gallery will show a misleading representation of the files contents.

*BUMP* No one got any comment on this? Garry - maybe you could speak to your 'unnamed source' and find out if this will see a fix in DP 7 also?

Reopen the just saved xar, nudge something then nudge it back ... resave. Thumbnail updates :-)

Hi John, thanks for replying but I'm aware how to 'fix' this. However it remains a bug.
