Could someone please help me make my image spin please

I saved the image from designer but when I try to load it. It simply loads a blank square. Could someone tell me why?

Xara3D requires vector data to create an extruded shape. If you imported the raster (bitmap) image you orginally posted and then drew around the outline of the grenade you must delete the original bitmap before saving from designer. The bitmap would be the blank square you see.

O.k. I traced the image but how would I delete the outside to get the shape only? Also, I'm using Xara Xtreme 5

you have three objects in that file - the image and two traces

so just select the image and delete it

then select one of the traces and delete it - you only need one

now for some reason you have ended up with an outline shape, which is not right - you need a filled shape so...

make sure the shape is selected go to menu 'arrange' and click on 'break shapes' - you will actually get two filled shapes, so again you need to delete one of them

now you have your filled vector shape that you can cut and paste into xara3D where you can texture it with the image


in passing, you are not going to get as good results with the image you are using as you would with a higher resolution image

How do I get the image that I deleted onto the shape on Xara 3D. I have the shape just dont know how to get the image when I try to load the same image it goes back to the previous square. Sorry to bug I'm a little new to this

you use the texture option in xara3D - is this not covered in Bob's tutorial?

So this is what i have I'm trying to make it more of a 3D with the shape of the image being a bit more rounded
