Is there a list of pressure sensitive tablets available that work with Designer Pro 6?
Any recommendations from anyone for a beginner?

question 1 - how much do you want to spend
question 2 - are you going to use it with other programs too and if so which
question 3 - what sort of work will you be doing

Nothing lasts forever...
1 - as little as possible and as much as needed to get something good for the job
2 - not really, but as I have it I may want to use it in photoshop and lightroom
3 - I would like to draw cartoons and similar things in Xara
Enough for a good advice?
I use a wacom - look at the bamboo, it comes in various models, you do not need to spend a lot, and it will work well with xara
you get what you pay for of course, you could get cheaper makes, but wacom are market leaders, their technology is proven, and they work with most graphics programs should you need them to - note you will need to install the drivers that come supplied with them
some come bundled with photoshop elements or corel painter elements which is useful
[ EDIT - and artrage too]
most good quality tablets would be ok for cartooning

I've never had a problem with wacom in nearly 10 years
one final point - give some thought to what size drawing area you need - larger tends to be more expensive of course..

Thanks for the advice. I'll have a look. I already had seen the Wacom bamboo and thought it might do the job I need ...
I'll have to recommend the Bamboo also, it's worked very well for me.
Something to remember when dealing with drawing tablets: bigger is not always better. I posted a short discourse on this on my DeviantArt journal a couple of months ago.
