    Default Spiral

Mart's symmetry post reminded me of these shapes we used to create at school in Technical Drawing classes.
A shape that's been rotated slightly and then reduced in size to fit. Then again and again and again...

It's a lot easier on a computer than it was using a pencil.

    Try different shapes.
You can get some interesting results.

    That's cool...though slightly vertigo inducing...

That would work well as a depth image for a stereogram. You'd need to add the shades of gray but that I suspect would be the easy part.

Many many years ago, back around Workbook 4, I did a tutorial for creating spirals http://www.xaraxone.com/webxealot/workbook05/page_3.htm

Then Dmitry Malutin came around with his Spx ulility (Available in the Xara Xone Shareware page) and put me out of business.

    Thanks for the link Gary.
That spiral tutorial look worth having a go at.

Here's another (which I did some time ago) on the same theme from me though.

I like the triangle best. Both are done very well.

Made using Rik's image for a depth map. It would be sharper if the sections were not outlined but you get the idea.

    Good idea Gary.

    I though I would have a go.

One is harder to see, than the other.

Mind you we all see things a bit different so what I think might be harder may be easier for you.

Those are good too! I really need to make a few of my own stereo-grams.
